NORTH DANDALUP COMMUNITY PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away on Railway Ave in North Dandalup, this community park operates on the refreshingly simple principle that sometimes the best barbecue spots are the ones that don't try too hard. The BBQ facilities here are decidedly no-frills - think sturdy hotplates that have seen their share of sausages and the occasional ambitious attempt at marinated lamb. The picnic tables bear the honest scars of countless family gatherings, while the play area keeps the young ones occupied with just enough equipment to tire them out properly. It's the sort of place where locals gather without fanfare, where the biggest decision is whether to claim the table nearest the barbecue or the one with the best view of the kids. North Dandalup Community Park won't win awards for sophistication, but it delivers exactly the kind of unpretentious outdoor experience that makes for memorable family afternoons.
